Columbus Technical College Sets New Records for Graduates, Credentials, and Job Placement
Wednesday, October 7th, 2026
Columbus Technical College (CTC) reached new heights in Academic Year 2026, graduating a record 1,543 students while marking its fifth consecutive year of enrollment growth and setting all-time highs in credentials awarded and in-field job placement.
CTC enrollment grew over the last five years to 5,108 students. The sustained growth reflects increasing demand for career-focused education and training and the critical role Columbus Technical College plays in preparing the area’s workforce.
“We are graduating more students than ever before, and they are leaving our college with the skills Georgia employers need,” said CTC President Martha Ann Todd. “Five consecutive years of enrollment growth shows that more Georgians are recognizing the value of technical education and the opportunities it creates. These record numbers are a testament to our students, faculty, and staff, and the strong partnerships our college has built with employers in the service area. The mission of the college is to develop the skilled workforce needed in our service area, and we do that by ensuring that CTC students obtain the skills and have access to the opportunities they need to succeed.”
In addition to a record number of graduates, CTC awarded more credentials than at any point in the last decade during AY26, including:
- 2,263 Technical Certificates of Credit (TCCs)
- 622 associate degrees
- 3,091 total awards
The college also achieved a record 94.6 percent in-field placement rate, meaning nearly 95 percent of graduates who entered the workforce found employment in the field in which they studied. All CTC graduates are either employed, enlisted, or continuing their education, underscoring the connection between technical education and economic opportunity in the college service area.
“Getting students enrolled is important, but ultimately our success is measured by their ability to get jobs, build careers, and support their families,” said Todd. “Our students are graduating in record numbers, and they’re putting their skills to work. When nearly 95 percent of those entering the workforce are employed in the field they trained for, that tells us our programs are aligned with the opportunities area employers are creating.”
CTC’s five consecutive years of enrollment growth and record credential production come as area employers continue to seek skilled workers across high-demand industries including healthcare, advanced manufacturing, construction, transportation, information technology, and logistics.
Columbus Technical College works closely with business and industry to ensure programs remain aligned with workforce needs and provide its students with clear pathways from education and training to meaningful careers.
