AAFES Looking to Hire 95 in Columbus

The Georgia Department of Labor’s Columbus Career Center will help the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) recruit 95 food service workers in Columbus Wednesday, July 31. AAFES is an agency of the U.S. Department of Defense.
The recruitment will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the career center, located at 700 Veterans Parkway. Prior to the recruitment, applicants are encouraged to complete an online application at www.ApplyMyExchange.com.
The company is recruiting for part-time, temporary and intermittent food service workers. While no food service experience is necessary, applicants must be able to complete a National Restaurant Association Safe Serve course, which focuses on safety practices for preparing and serving food, sanitation, and food-borne illnesses.
The entry-level salary is $7.77 per hour. Applicants must also be able to work on weekends and holidays.
The company will conduct a background check. After two months, the workers may also be hired for permanent positions.
