Governor Deal Appoints Three to State Boards

Jerry D. Davis, Georgia Agriculture Exposition Authority (reappointment)
Davis is the manager of Heart of Georgia Peanut & Gin Co. He is currently a member on the board of directors of the Georgia Plant Food and Education Society and the Georgia Agribusiness Council. He also serves on the Middle Ocmulgee Regional Water Planning Council. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Tampa. He and wife, Jimmie Lee, have two children and five grandchildren. They are members of Corinth Baptist Church and reside in Hawkinsville.
Alice A. House, Georgia Composite Medical Board (reappointment)
House is the senior associate dean for Admissions and Student Affairs at the Mercer University School of Medicine. She is the medical director at Elberta Healthcare in Warner Robins and continues to practice medicine at Mercer Medicine in Macon. She graduated from Mercer in 1995, completed her residency in Family Medicine at the Medical Center of Central Georgia and served the community of Byron in private practice until joining the faculty at the School of Medicine in 2002. House has served as chief of staff at Peach Regional Hospital, as chair of the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians Board of Directors and on the Georgia Medical Directors Association Board of Directors. She has three children and five grandchildren. She resides in Macon.
Patricia Lyons, Georgia Council on Aging (reappointment)
Lyons is the executive director of Senior Citizens, Inc. She serves on the board of directors for the Girl Scout Council of Historic Georgia, Riverview Rehabilitation Center, Step Up Savannah, the St. Joseph/Candler Hospital Advisory Board for Home Health, Meals on Wheels Association of Georgia, Aging Services of Georgia and BB&T Bank. Lyons was named a Woman of Distinction by the Girl Scout Council of Historic Georgia. Previously, she served as the president of the Junior League of Savannah and on a special study committee regarding social services for the Catholic Diocese of Savannah. She is a graduate of both Leadership Savannah and Leadership Georgia. She and her husband, Patrick, reside in Savannah.
