BCBS Making Move to Muscogee Technology Park

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia unveiled plans Thursday to consolidate its Columbus operation — including nearly 1,800 local employees — to a new building that will be constructed and leased at Muscogee Technology Park in the Midland area of north Columbus.
The project, which should be completed by 2015, will give the health-care insurer room to grow, it said, with the office building accommodating up to 2,000 employees, which the company will fill as business demand increases.
