Career & Job Expo Set for March 20th in Columbus

The Georgia Department of Labor and Columbus Technical College will assist Clear Channel Radio with its 11th annual career and job expo Thursday, March 20, in Columbus. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Columbus Convention and Trade Center, located in the city’s historic Iron Works, 801 Front Ave.

The event will feature more than 90 employers, educational institutions, and resource agencies that provide assistance to job seekers. Some employers will be hiring for a wide range of job openings, including part-time, full-time, entry-level, supervisory, and management positions. Others will discuss possible future employment opportunities with the job seekers, and other organizations will provide educational and other resources. Applicants should bring plenty of resumes and be prepared to fill out company applications and interview for available job openings.

Those expected to participate in the career and job expo include: Aaron’s Sales and Leasing, Accounting Principals, AFLAC, Alabama Department of Labor, American Truck Driving, Argosy University, Cable TV of East Alabama, Coleman American World Group, Columbus Police Department, Columbus Regional Health, Columbus Technical College, Georgia Department of Community Affairs, Georgia Driving Academy, Georgia Military College, Georgia Professional Standards, Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation, Global Diagnostic Services, Global Personnel, Golden’s Foundry, Iljin Alabama Corporation, Integra Business Alternatives, Job Options, LaGrange Police Department, Lowe’s Home Center, Lower Chattahoochee Workforce Investment Board (WIB), Mediacom, Miller-Motte Technical College, Muscogee County Schools, Panasonic Energy Corporation, Sam’s Club, Schlumberger Tech, Staffing Connection, Snyder’s Lance, The Hughston Clinic, Waffle House, Walden University, Warm Springs Medical Center, and Wells Fargo Bank.
