Opelika Company Announces $21.6M Expansion

Pharmavite will be investing additional capital into the manufacturing facility in Opelika to accommodate growing demand according to Opelika Mayor Gary Fuller. Pharmavite is one of the nation’s largest manufacturers of high quality vitamins, minerals and other dietary supplements. The company plans to invest an additional $21.6 million and hire 54 associates over the next three years.

Pharmavite has been operating the Opelika facility since January of 2013. To date, Pharmavite has invested approximately $89 million in the Opelika facility and they currently have 245 associates.

“We are so pleased that Pharmavite is expanding their Opelika operations. This additional investment along with the opportunity for more jobs is good news for the citizens of Opelika.” Mayor Fuller said.

“We have been very pleased with our decision to locate the eastern manufacturing facility in Opelika,” said Mark Walsh chief operating officer for Pharmavite. “As our business continues to grow, we look forward to bring additional jobs and opportunities to our Opelika facility.”
