Del Taco Opening in Columbus

Del Taco is returning to the Chattahoochee Valley.
Franchisee Clay Gullatt, a Phenix City native, said he still has childhood memories from the former Del Taco that was on the 280 bypass in Phenix City. He looks forward to bringing the chain back to the area. A new location is set to open in Columbus on Aug. 6.
Gullatt said he also plans to bring a Del Taco location to Auburn in the future.
“Back when I was a kid, which was a long time ago, where it was located was the hot spot in Phenix City,” Gullatt said. “It had the skate center right behind it, so when we would go skating, our hangout spot would always be the Del Taco.”
