Synovus Bank Applies to Open Branch in Orlando

Columbus, Ga.-based Synovus Bank has applied with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. to open a branch in the CNL Center 1 in downtown Orlando.
The bank first tested the local waters in 2008, when it opened a branch in the former First Florida Bank space in Winter Park that later was shuttered. Synovus had completed its consolidation with First Florida Bank in late April of that same year.
