LaRae D. Moore has joined the Columbus law firm of Hatcher, Stubbs, Land, Hollis & Rothschild.
She formerly served as senior assistant district attorney in the Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit, specializing in the prosecution of serious violent felonies in Superior Court from trial through appeal, supervising a team of six lawyers.
During her 14-year tenure as an assistant DA, Moore also served in the Dougherty (Albany, Ga.) Judicial Circuit and the Tift (Tifton, Ga.) Judicial Circuit. She also served as an assistant federal defender for the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Georgia.
Moore has handled more than 50 jury trials and appeals in State, Superior and Federal courts in Georgia and brings more than 19 years of trial experience to the firm.
A native of Kansas City, Mo., Ms. she received her bachelor's degree in administration of justice from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and her juris doctorate from Mercer University School of Law.
Upon receiving her law degree, Moore moved to Columbus to become an associate in a local law firm where she handled plaintiff's litigation, employment litigation, domestic relations and criminal defense.
Moore's litigation practice now includes DUI, fraud, white-collar crime and public corruption criminal defense; employment litigation, medical malpractice defense and personal injury claims involving wrongful death, automobile accidents and injuries due to negligence of others.
