The mission of the FAST program is to empower parents to be the primary prevention agents for their own children and build protective factors in family systems to ensure better child outcomes. The overall goal of the FAST program is to intervene early to ensure that parents have the tools they need to help at-risk youth avoid problems such as adolescent delinquency, gang involvement, substance abuse, and dropping out of school.

The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters is to strengthen and empower children to achieve their fullest potential to become positive, productive, and healthy citizens through interaction with mature, responsible, and caring adults. The evidence-based program provides children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.

Since 1909, The Family Center has helped to strengthen and empower families because it believes that strong and healthy families create strong communities. In addition to after-school and youth mentoring programs, The Family Center provides services in the areas of behavioral and mental health counseling, education, credit & debt assistance, and financial literacy.
