CSU, Continuing Education Announces a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification Workshop

Columbus State University’s Continuing Education in partnership with Riverwood Associates are proud to sponsor a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification workshop on Tuesday, September 16 from 8:30am to 4:30pm in Columbus, GA. Synovus has graciously agreed to host this workshop at their CB&T location on Broadway. This is the second in a series of workshops.

Workshop participants will take the first step to become a certified Lean Six Sigma professional and learn proven techniques and practical tools to reduce waste, increase profitability, improve quality, and drive overall business improvement. Lean Six Sigma can significantly improve your bottom line and customer experience. This is a powerful process improvement methodology adopted by many organizations of all sizes. Well known examples include The Coca-Cola Company, General Electric, Motorola, Starbucks, Toyota and Virginia Mason Medical Clinic.

Peter J. Sherman, Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt with 20+ years of experience, will lead this one-day practical workshop. It includes the fundamentals of Lean Six Sigma and key tools to start applying in your organization immediately. As part of the workshop, a member of the Synovus team will share their perspectives on Operational Excellence.  At the end of the course, participants will take a short open book exam to earn their certification. All attendees who score 80% or higher on an end-of-course, open book examination will receive a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification of Completion. Admission is $295 for non-profits / government agencies,  $350 for all others.
