To honor 150 years of serving humanity, Mayo Clinic is taking its story to the public in a free exhibit destined for stops in more than 40 communities throughout the US and Canada from April through October 2014. As a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, St. Francis is proud to host this 1,000-square-foot exhibition on its campus. It will arrive at St. Francis and be open to the public from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Tuesday, October 21.
“Throughout our history, people have turned to Mayo Clinic for hope and healing. By experiencing this exhibit you will share the enduring values and exciting vision of Mayo Clinic in service to humanity,” says Kerry Olsen, MD, a Mayo Clinic physician and chair of the Mayo Clinic Sesquicentennial Committee.
What’s inside?
Visitors to the exhibit will see the human body in new ways and discover how Mayo Clinic uses innovation, research and technology to meet the unique needs of individual patients. Examples of new research to prevent and treat disease and stories of patients whose lives have been transformed, the exhibit provides an immersion journey into Mayo Clinic’s values and its vision for the future of health care.
St. Francis became the first Mayo Clinic Care Network member in Georgia in November 2013. The Mayo Clinic Care Network shares Mayo Clinic's knowledge and expertise with health care systems interested in working together to enhance the quality and delivery of health care for their patients.
