The Greater Columbus Georgia Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals is hosting its 3rd Annual Time for Art. This culture filled evening is a time raising event presented by the Greater Columbus Georgia Young Professionals in partnership with Columbus State University’s Friends of Art and United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley. Time for Art will take place on Wednesday, December 17th at the Bay Gallery, Corn Center for the Visual Arts, CSU Department of Art.
The Greater Columbus Georgia Young Professionals is hosting the 3rd annual silent art Auction, Time for Art, as a time drive for volunteer hours. We are seeking support from artists, corporations and the regional arts community to support this time raising opportunity with a twist.
This is the first event of its kind in the United States of America to engage local artists and the volunteer community. It is a unique way to raise awareness of the local art community while also raising volunteer hours for worthy organizations. Last year, this event rose 2,350 service hours for the Columbus, Georgia Region.
Artists participated in this drive by donating their work through a juried selection process, in return the artists’ work will be considered for awards and other networking opportunities. Over 33 pieces of art will be showcased and up for auction at this evenings event.
The selected pieces will help inspire people to donate their time in support of important local causes through a partnership with United Way. Artwork will be given to the attendee that committed the most hours and will be tracked through United Way throughout the year to keep up with the impact the event has on the community.
This event is open to everyone; it is free for Young Professionals members and $15.00 for non-members.
