The Steeplechase at Callaway Gardens will present a check to one of our beneficiaries, The Columbus Symphony Orchestra, Friday afternoon at E.A. White Elementary School, Fort Benning.  The check presentation will occur during an educational event hosted by the CSO.  

Throughout the year, the CSO visits area schools to educate and introduce school-aged children to music. CSO musicians perform and talk about their instruments, while children have the opportunity to make observations, ask questions, and, most importantly, touch and play the variety of instruments. More than 12,000 children have had access to this experience through the Orchestra Up Close Program.

The Steeplechase at Callaway Gardens is committed to bettering our community through the Arts.  For this reason, 2014 Race Director, Laura Wickham, will be presenting our annual donation during this valuable program at 2:30pm on Jan. 30 at E.A. White Elementary.  

Over the past 30 years, the Steeplechase at Callaway Gardens has donated close to  $3.5 million to the Arts.  We are proud to support the Arts in our community through the proceeds we raised Nov. 1, 2014.
