TSYS announced today that Phil Tomlinson, Chairman of the Board — and long-time former CEO — of TSYS, has received FinTech Georgia’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Tomlinson was honored by TAG FinTech, a society of the Technology Association of Georgia, for his contributions to payments innovation over the course of his 40-year career at TSYS. 

“The Lifetime Achievement Award is awarded to individuals who have made significant and lasting contributions both to the growth of the financial industry as a whole, and in the state of Georgia,” said Sean Banks, principal of TTV Capital, and president and chair of the TAG FinTech Society. “For 40 years, Phil was instrumental in growing a small division of a regional bank into an international powerhouse in the payments industry. He is widely admired for both his leadership and contributions in the financial services industry.” 

Tomlinson was honored at the annual TAG FinTech Symposium, which brings together companies and individuals serving the financial technology industry worldwide for lively dialogue and networking sessions focused on the latest trends and innovations in the space.
