Press release from the issuing company
Monday, March 30th, 2015
Columbus will hold a College Fair on April 2nd, 2015. This fair will feature various local colleges and will be open to the public. It is intended to introduce both college and high school students to the many options they have for pursuing a four-year degree.
GMC Columbus Computer Science major Jasmine Hill expressed her approval of the fair with, “I think it’s good for students at GMC to have options and to be able to think about them. In a small town like Columbus, they might not be able to see all their options.”
The planner of the event, GMC Columbus Library Associate, Sarah Hulbert, shares, “At GMC, we want all our students to dream big and succeed. We want to give them all the tools they need to make the best choices for their lives, and the College Fair is one of those tools. When students are aware of all of the possibilities, it enables them to go further and do more.”
The College Fair will be from 9AM-12PM on April 2nd, 2015, in the GMC Columbus Student Center. Local colleges will have set up booths and will be able to provide information for prospective students. This fair is open to the public – any student seeking more information about colleges providing four-year degrees may attend.
Confirmed colleges that will be in attendance are: Georgia Southwestern State University of Americus, GA, University of West Georgia of Carrollton, GA, Georgia Southern of Statesboro, GA, Albany State University of Albany, GA, Georgia College and State University of Milledgeville, GA, Oglethorpe University of Atlanta, GA, Valdosta State University of Valdosta, GA, LaGrange College of LaGrange, GA, Columbus State University of Columbus, GA, Clayton State University of Morrow, GA, and finally Georgia Military College of Columbus, GA.
