Five Batson-Cook Construction superintendents have received the prestigious “Ron Amerson Supervisor’s Safety Award” from the Associated General Contractors of Georgia. The recipients – Randall Aikens, Perry Hood, Tim McClendon, Howard Watson and Chuck Williams – are employed by Batson-Cook’s West Point construction office.
The awards ceremony was held in Columbus for members of AGC’s West Central Georgia region.
The safety award, presented annually at AGC Georgia’s “Members First” meetings held in eight Georgia cities, recognizes AGC-member superintendents who have made outstanding contributions to safety on their respective jobsites.
Selection is based on the safety incidence rates of individual superintendents in conjunction with the actual man-hours each one directly supervised. Awards are given in four categories, ranging from fewer than 10,000 man-hours to 50,000 or more man-hours supervised.
