Girl Scouts Announces 2015 Women of Distinction

Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia is proud to announce that Jan Beeland, Beverly Blake, Ruth A. Knox and Pearlie Toliver have been selected as the 2015 Women of Distinction honorees. A luncheon in their honor will be held Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Noon at The Armory Ballroom. Rebecca Lee, vice president of economic development programs for Central Georgia Technical College will bring the keynote address.
The Girl Scouts Woman of Distinction Award honors women whose lives reflect the values in the Girl Scout Promise and Law and who serve as excellent role models for girls. Beeland is a retired marketing professional who currently serves as executive director of Macon Arts Alliance; Blake is the Macon program director for the Knight Foundation; Knox is president of Wesleyan College and Toliver is a retired banker. All are generous community servants whose leadership has had significant impact on the Macon community.
