Columbus Native Receives NABJ Professional Award

When Carole Munroe was a student at Richards Junior High School, she worked as a copy editor on the school newspaper. One day the staff attended a Georgia Scholastic Press Association Convention held at the University of Georgia, an experience that changed her life.
The keynote speaker was the award-winning journalist Monica Kaufman, who worked as a news anchor in the Atlanta news market for many years.
