GMC Columbus held its 2015 graduation ceremony on June 12, 2015. The event was held at the Columbus State University recreation center and boasted a full house. Family, friends, faculty, and staff gathered to recognize the 2015 graduates who celebrated earning their Associate’s Degree in their chosen discipline.

Georgia Senator Josh McKoon delivered a compelling commencement speech about finding one’s passion and eagerly participating in it, whether it’s something done through work or making time for it outside. The graduates were recognized individually and inducted into the GMC alumni society. Many wore medals they obtained during their time at GMC, awarded to them at the Honor’s Convocation.

The crowd was jovial as students walked across the stage, with families cheering loudly for their graduates and a sense of pride evident throughout the room. The graduation was a culmination of the efforts of these amazing students and their supportive families and friends. It was also a ceremony that celebrated the work of the faculty and staff, many of whom had seen these students walk through the doors of the college on their first day.

The graduates’ hard work has rewarded and GMC Columbus is confident that, with their degrees in hand, they will achieve any goals they set for themselves. The college congratulates every 2015 graduate and wishes them every success.
