Growing Room Too Receive 3 Stars for Georgia’s Quality Rated Program

Growing Room Too, a state of the art child development center and leader in early childhood education has been awarded three stars from the state of Georgia through the state’s Quality Rated Program. This is the highest rating a center can receive from the state. Choosing an early care and education provider is an important decision. Quality Rated helps families find high quality early care and education programs by clearly identifying the level of quality the program provides using a one star, two star, or three star rating.

Quality Rated describes the programs that receive this type of rating as a “program that provides the following: an atmosphere in which children feel nurtured and supported; opportunities for families to be involved with their child’s early education and care; intentionally planned activities and instruction that support child development and help prepare the child for a lifetime of learning; and efforts to ensure that ALL of Georgia’s children receive meaningful early learning experiences.”

Growing Room Child Development Centers started in Columbus, GA on August 24, 1989 with a center on Manchester Expressway and has grown over the years. The company now has expanded the first location and added two more local centers to Columbus. In 2007, Growing Room created Growing Room Franchising System Inc. to be able to offer personalized, quality childcare and early education to children in areas outside of Columbus. The company currently has nine operating franchise centers, covering Florida, Alabama, and Massachusetts, with more under contract.

Growing Room’s goal each day is to provide an enriching environment with nurturing teachers and a planned, developmentally-­‐appropriate curriculum for all ages, beginning in infancy. They strive to build a firm foundation for each child’s educational success. Their curriculum is teacher initiated, and child directed. Their teachers are loving, nurturing, trained professionals who have a genuine interest in the children, and bring many great experiences to the classroom.
