Friday, July 17th, 2015

On Monday, July 27, 2015, at 9:00 a.m., the Columbus Chamber of Commerce will celebrate the opening of a new Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) clinic with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony presenting Reaching Milestones. The ceremony will take place at the new Reaching Milestones clinic, located at 1450 54th Street, Suite C, Columbus, GA 31904. Reaching Milestones has been providing excellent ABA services for the last ten (10) years in the Southeastern United States. The opening of the Columbus, GA clinic location will be its 8th location, covering Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is important in the treatment of autism. From a behavior-analytic perspective, autism is considered a syndrome of behavioral excesses and deficits. Every behavioral aspect of autism can be addressed using scientifically validated behavioral interventions. Over 25 years of research suggests that early behavioral intervention is essential for the best prognosis. In fact, it is the only treatment method recommended by the U.S. Surgeon General: “Forty years of research demonstrated the efficacy of applied behavioral methods in reducing inappropriate behavior and in increasing communication, learning, and appropriate social behavior.”
