The Truth FM, Columbus' Contemporary Christian Radio Station, Moves Up the Dial
Staff Report From Columbus CEO
Wednesday, July 1st, 2015
The Truth moves from 88.5 to 107.7 FM on the dial on Wednesday, July 1, 2015.
The Truth, a local contemporary Christian radio station, is moving to a new frequency on Wednesday, July 1, 2015, according to Brian Hite, General Manager. "We've found a great new home at 107.7 FM, and can’t wait for everyone to hear the new signal."
Moving up the dial to 107.7 will be a win-win for The Truth's listeners, sponsors, and advertisers. Not only will the quality of the signal improve for local listeners, but the new frequency will also allow The Truth to offer commercial advertising. At the former frequency, only non-commercial sponsorships were allowed due to FCC regulations.
The Truth will continue to operate as a 501(c)(3) ministry supported by tax-deductible gifts from its listeners and sponsors.
"The 107.7 frequency allows us to be better stewards of the gifts from our donors and sponsors,” said Nancy Sheek, Development Director and on-air personality. "On 107.7, the message that they have invested in offers great clarity across the Valley area."
Additionally, the new signal gains an HD signal that broadcasts at 103.7 FM, channel 3. "When you combine these changes with our presence on Internet radio and mobile apps," said Hite, "we’ll be reaching more people than ever with the Gospel through music and teaching, which is our mission."
To match the move up the dial, The Truth has a brand new website, thetruthlife.com, that presents Christian music news, family friendly community events, local weather, and spiritual resources from national personalities featured on the station, such as David Jeremiah, Beth Moore, and Mark Gregston. Advertisers can also use the website to reach a greater audience, and fans of the station can listen live to the station and make tax-deductible gifts to The Truth online.
“We started broadcasting as The Truth on May 1, 2008, and, seven years later, our mission hasn’t changed,” offered Hite. “We play music and teaching that glorifies the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We’ve had testimonies of the station changing lives here and around the world. It’s an honor to do what we do. It’s also a lot of fun, and we’re excited about the future at 107.7 FM!”
