The Testing Center at Columbus State University was recently awarded Test Center Certification by the National College Testing Association, a honor reserved for a only a few test centers in the United States and Canada that have completed the certification process.
 
NCTA certification is based on a set of national standards that guide post secondary testing centers in the delivery of quality testing programs. Testing centers must demonstrate proficiency in test integrity, confidentiality, staff training and program evaluation for certification.
 
The NCTA extended their congratulations to Camille Hassenplug, director of CSU’s Testing Center, and the center’s staff for maintaining these high test administration standards and for providing excellent service to a wide variety of students and community members.

“We have worked hard over the past two years to professionalize and streamline our operations,” said Hassenplug. “I am proud of how we run the CSU Testing Center, and attaining certification from the NCTA lets our customers know that they can have confidence in us as we adhere to the highest professional standards and best practices in testing.”
 
Last year, the Testing Center at CSU provided testing administration services to more than 2,300 CSU students, students from other college and universities and local professionals seeking licensure and certification. CSU’s certification will be in place for five years and can be renewed by demonstrating continued compliance to NCTA standards.
