Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Friday, August 14th, 2015

The Georgia Chamber was honored to be selected as one of top three finalists in the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives 2015 Chamber of the Year competition.  Since 2007, annual ACCE award winners and finalists have received international attention for their excellence in operations, member services, and community leadership.

“While no state chamber has ever won the ACCE Chamber of the Year award, the Georgia Chamber is honored to be a finalist in the 2015 competition.  This recognition is especially timely as the Georgia Chamber is celebrating our 100th anniversary in 2015,” said Georgia Chamber President and CEO Chris Clark.  “We also congratulate the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce for winning the ACCE Chamber of the Year award for Category 1.”

The Georgia Chamber and Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce were the only Georgia-based finalists in this year’s Chamber of the Year awards.  The Newnan-Coweta Chamber is a 5-Star Chamber of Commerce and has been a leader in the communitywide “Prosperity’s Front Door” marketing campaign to support economic development in Coweta County.

Out of the 33 chambers nominated, the Georgia Chamber was one of the top 3-not only in the United States but also Canada and Europe.  This important recognition is a testament to the Georgia Chamber’s hard work and commitment to the businesses and communities in the state of Georgia.
