The Greater Columbus Georgia Chamber of Commerce today announced that its Board of Directors is in favor of allowing the citizens of Muscogee County an opportunity to vote on the residential property tax assessment freeze issue.
“Our board is appealing to Columbus City Council that they request the Georgia General Assembly to place the question of whether to sunset our property tax freeze on the November 2016 ballot,” said Brian Anderson, president and CEO of the Columbus Chamber. “Our position is simply to let the voters decide.”
