Mrs. April H. Spear has been named Executive Director of The Children and Family Connection of Russell County, Inc. October 7, 2015.  Mrs. Spear has a Master of Science Degree in Counseling and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology both  from Troy University, Phenix City.  She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor.  She has been with The Children and Family Connection for 10 years.  Children and Family Connection is a non-profit Community based Family Resource Center that was established in 1996 to serve the citizens of Russell County.  CFC provides numerous  cost free need based services including:  Emergency Food Assistance, Clothing Bank, Resource Referrals, Counseling, Fatherhood Support Program and access to Legal Services (no fee) through Legal Services of Alabama, just to name a few.
 
Mrs. Spear stated that she is very excited about her new role at the Agency and CFC’s continued ability to provide these services to the citizens of Russell County.
 
Mrs. Spear lives in her hometown of Phenix City along with her husband Jason, and their 7 year old son, Skyler.
