Path-Tec, a leading provider of specimen management solutions, today announced it has acquired a new facility in Columbus and has plans to hire 100 additional team members. The 126,000 square-foot building is located at 5700 Old Brim Rd. in Muscogee Technology Park and will allow the company to grow its business of providing specimen
management solutions that includes technology, kit development, production, distribution and
logistics management.

Path-Tec will relocate from its existing 79,000 square-foot facility on Belfast Avenue where it already employs 100 team members. The company worked closely with the Greater Columbus Georgia Chamber of Commerce and Development Authority of Columbus prior to making the decision. “We knew that we were outgrowing our current location so we were evaluating opportunities to expand,” said Kevin Boykin, president and CEO of Path-Tec. I have been very impressed with the high-level of support we received from the economic development professionals at the Columbus Chamber of Commerce,” said Boykin. “They identified this new building which will allow us to expand our production capacities immediately while we continue to focus on reducing our client’s time and costs associated with the specimen collection and transport process.”
