Georgia Military College Columbus Commits to Complete

This Thursday, November 13, 2015, Georgia Military College Columbus students, faculty, and staff came together to sign a pledge for “Commit to Completion:” an initiative of national honor fraternity Phi Theta Kappa.

The Phi Theta Kappa induction was held that same day and the Columbus chapter, Beta Sigma Sigma, welcomed in 15 new members. In order to be invited to become a PTK member, students are required to maintain a 3.5 GPA and be enrolled in an institution that offers Associate Degrees. The members must also adhere to the moral code of PTK. All of the members pledged to commit to completion. The newest Phi Theta Kappa members of Georgia Military College Columbus are: Savannah Allen of Columbus, GA, Typheni Bady of Columbus, GA, Michael Dorsey of Columbus, GA, Tara Frink of Columbus, GA, Nicole Hakes of Phenix City, AL, Jesse Hunt of Columbus, GA, Tierra Jones of Columbus, GA, Savannah Melton of Cataula, GA, Rachel Mitchell of Columbus, GA, Annabella Ryan of Columbus, GA, Tiffany Siler of Phenix City, AL, Travis Siler of Phenix City, AL, Chauncey Thomas of Columbus, GA, Lesa Wafford of Phenix City, AL, and Joshua Wheat of Columbus, GA.

Typheni Bady of Columbus, GA, a new inductee to PTK, said that joining PTK “will motivate me to continue trying to be a good student.” Jasmine Hill of Columbus, GA, an established PTK member, said, “I was proud to see other people experience what I experienced. The tradition continues!”
