HBS Names Donna Hix as Partner in Columbus Law Office

Atlanta-based law firm Hall Booth Smith said attorney Donna Hix is now a partner in its Columbus office.

Hix is a trial lawyer who specializes in all areas of family law and domestic relations law, including assets divorce cases, child custody matters, child support, alimony and spousal support, post-divorce modifications, legitimation and paternity, contempt actions, prenuptial agreements and post nuptial agreements.

The company said Hix, who is a certified civil law mediator and family law mediator in Georgia and in Alabama, and an arbitrator in Georgia, "has the ability, versatility and expertise to handle complicated litigation in family law cases, as well as uncontested divorces."

Hix serves as an elected member to the board of governors of the State Bar of Georgia and is the current president of the Columbus Bar Association. 

"We are delighted that Donna has joined the firm as she brings extensive experience and expertise that will enhance our ability to better serve our clients," Paul Ivey, managing partner of the Columbus office, said in a statement. "Donna will play an important leadership role in the continued growth of our family law practice."

Hix is a native of Georgia and has resided in the Columbus area for more than 20 years. She received an undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia, and earned her juris doctor degree from Mercer University in 1993. She is peer rated "AV" with Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest rating a lawyer can receive.
