TSYS today announced that Patty Watson, senior executive vice president and chief information officer, has been named as one of the Most Influential Women in Payments in 2016 by PaymentsSource.

“Throughout her 17 years in the industry, Patty’s commitment to making a difference at work and in the community has been an inspiration,” said M. Troy Woods, chairman, president and chief executive officer, TSYS. “She’s driving a vision to integrate TSYS payment solutions across our three businesses — issuer processing, merchant services and prepaid program management — to benefit the clients, businesses and customers we serve.”

Watson was named senior executive vice president and chief information officer of TSYS in September 2015. All of the women honored were chosen by the editors of PaymentsSource for their commitment to drive change and develop innovative solutions in the payments industry.
