GDOL to Help AlaTrade Recruit Workers in Columbus

AlaTrade Foods will be recruiting a number of production workers for a poultry-processing facility in Phenix City on Thursday, March 24.
The Georgia Department of Labor’s Columbus Career Center will host the recruitment from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The career center is located at 700 Veterans Parkway.
The company is recruiting shoulder cutters, tender pullers, wing rollers, frame scrappers and tender clippers. Since the company will train the workers, no experience is required.
Due to U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations, all applicants must be at least 18 years old and have two forms of identification, such as a U.S. Social Security card and a driver’s license. A high school diploma, or a General Education Diploma, is preferred, but not required for the jobs.
Salaries begin at $7.45 an hour and rise to $7.75 an hour after 30 days.
