American Freight Furniture and Mattress is opening their newest discount furniture store in Columbus, GA on Friday, May 6.  

The new location will be at 1627 South Lumpkin Rd., Suite 5, in Columbus.

The store is 44,000 square feet and contains a wide selection of discounted furniture and mattress sets. The new store will also add up to 10 jobs in the Columbus area. Click here to apply online.

American Freight Furniture and Mattress is a discount furniture warehouse, open to the public. All home furniture and accessories are received from the product manufacturer due to factory closeouts, wholesale liquidations, dealer cancellations, and retail chain buyouts.

American Freight provides vast savings for their customers by directly ordering from the manufacturer, and by using warehouses, instead of expensive retail showrooms.

All stores offer brand names like Simmons, BeautyRest, and Serta, as well as house brands like Stewart and Hamilton.

“Columbus is the ideal location for a new America Freight Furniture location, because there is a need for an affordable and stylish, furniture store in the community,” says spokesperson Lauren Fleming. “We also can’t wait to be able to serve the military personnel at the nearby Fort Benning.”

The Columbus, GA American Freight Furniture and Mattress store will open on May 6 with regular business hours Monday through Thursday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The furniture selection includes living room furniture, including recliners, sofas, and loveseats, bedroom furniture, dining room sets, mattresses, futons, entertainment centers, children’s furniture, home accessories, and more.
