The historic train depot and home of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce has been purchased by Columbus Depot, LLC, which is comprised of a group of lawyers from Pope McGlamry Attorneys at Law. The parties closed on the property Thursday, March 24. As part of the agreement, the Chamber of Commerce will remain a tenant at the depot utilizing the north wing of the building and the Pope McGlamry Law Firm will also be a tenant occupying the remainder of the building. This partnership is a great example of successful Public Private Partnership ensuring this historic landmark will remain a vibrant asset to this community. “The Chamber looks forward to being neighbors with the firm and continuing to see redevelopment from the railroad tracks to the river lending to the tremendous synergy in this community” said Brian Anderson, President & CEO of the Greater Columbus Georgia Chamber of Commerce. Neal Pope, President and CEO of Columbus Depot, LLC added: “We are excited to be not only neighbors, but also partners with the Chamber of Commerce and the Columbus community as we work to preserve this historic building for the future. We expect to bring back to the Depot the hustle and bustle of years past by hosting national events for the legal community that will showcase the Pope McGlamry law firm, this great building and the exciting things happening in Columbus”

The firm is scheduled to move in on April 14, 2016.
