Girl Scouts to Honor Helen Johnson

Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia will honor Helen Johnson with the first Girl Scout Leadership Award at a dinner in her honor tomorrow night at 7 p.m. at Green Island Country Club. The award honors a leader who reflects the values in the Girl Scout Promise and Law and who serves as an excellent role model for girls. Sheryl Green, Muscogee County School District Teacher of the Year, will be guest speaker.
Girl Scouts is the preeminent leadership development organization for girls in the world. Through Girl Scouting, girls discover more about themselves, connect with others and take action about things that are important to them.
