Delta Data Announces New Data and Software Alliance for "Data As A Service"
Staff Report From Columbus CEO
Wednesday, May 4th, 2016
Delta Data, a 30-year financial technology provider that processes trillions of dollars in transactions, has partnered with a leading assets service provider to offer a turnkey hosted data service for the investment servicing business. The solution will reduce risk and improve efficiency, accuracy and quality of core data services.
Currently, hours of manual labor are used to decipher multiple mutual fund direct emails and data vendor-supplied spreadsheets that arrive in dozens of formats. These are often late, inconsistent, inaccurate, open to risk, and not tailored to clients' needs.
The new collaboration leverages the data partner's significant expertise in pooled investment products, with Delta Data's expertise in distribution data management services, offering higher quality data, operational processing and software with:
-
Real-time intraday updates
-
Fully automated processing of exceptions
-
Distribution of cleansed information for consuming systems, with more efficient workflow and reporting
-
Price/rate, periodic dividends and reference data
Delta Data's DaaS software is a real time service that leverages an existing service organization, and aggregates, curates and creates a gold copy for data, supporting the distribution of mutual funds, and eliminating the need for management by an operations team. It enables the receipt and management of future dated data with downstream delivery on Ex-date, with the ability to add or remove funds in real-time.
Eliminating batch processing provides transparency into the data and offers the ability to gain projected calendars of events, periodic dividends and corporate actions.
"Aligning Delta Data's solution with a leading data processor illustrates both parties' commitment to data accuracy, transparency and automation, which enables the industry to focus on its core business objectives rather than be distracted by data quality issues," says Whitfield Athey, CEO of Delta Data. "We've created options today that were non-existent a year ago, further advancing data accessibility and quality while reducing risk."
