A multi-million dollar bike trial development in the Fountain City is close to becoming a reality.
The $2.4 million plan would connect the Fall Line Trace to the Riverwalk.
A representative from a nonprofit organization PATH, which implemented the same project in Atlanta, spoke at Columbus City Council on Tuesday and laid out the plans for Columbus.
The so-called "riverLINK" trail system will offer 12 trail links and 27.5 miles total of trails through the city of Columbus.
Construction on the bike trail is estimated to take about five years.
