CTC Dental Hygiene Instructor Lives on Through Generous Donation

Staff Report From Columbus CEO

Thursday, September 8th, 2016

Students in the 2017 class of dental hygiene at Columbus Technical College were treated to a fitting and emotional surprise Tuesday. To honor the memory of one of their instructors, Pam Tinnell, all 15 students received a special care package. Pam Tinnell passed away on August 9th. One of her childhood friends wanted to make sure Tinnell’s legacy lived on in the career she loved. So she contacted the Columbus Technical College dental hygiene department and the College’s Foundation and donated enough money to purchase bundles of tools the students can use in their educational career and beyond. Included in the package of five tools are a dental scaler and various curettes.
