Monday, September 19th, 2016
Physicians Working Together with Convalescent Care Home Medical Equipment and First Aid For All will present the first annual Heathcare Town Hall Meeting on October 1, 2016 at the Center Court of Peachtree Mall on Manchester Expressway from 10 am until 2 pm. The goal of the town hall meeting is to bring together patients, physicians and health care providers to discuss solutions to the challenges impacting the health care industry and patient care. The event will also provide physicians and healthcare organizations the opportunity to connect with the community during vendor opportunities.
Physicians Working Together is a grassroots organization whose primary focus is to bring clarity and concerted focus about the concerns of patients and physicians with the intent of making healthcare a cohesive function that is more patient-friendly. To support this national initiative, additional PWT affiliates across the country will also be hosting town hall meetings during the month of October.
“We are extremely excited to present this historic gathering of the stakeholders in the healthcare industry, from those needing and receiving quality health care, to those who are committed to providing the best care possible to hopefully bring improvements to the system,” said Dr. Kim Jackson, Founder and President of Physicians Working Together. “Our goal is to give patients and caregivers the opportunity to discuss their concerns about the industry, and doctors can share some of the obstacles they face from their perspective to hopefully establish a level of mutual understanding that will help both advocate more effectively for better choices in the industry and to help create a sustainable and affordable health system that puts patient care first.”
