Chattahoochee Valley Community College in partnership with Phenix City, iheartmedia and the CVCC Foundation will expand its annual 5k into a much larger celebration on the river. This year marks the sixth time students, staff and the community will run the Track or Treat 5k in remembrance of beloved CVCC staff member, Chris Patterson. The race raises money for the Chris Patterson Student Emergency Assistance Fund. Those monies are awarded by the CVCC Foundation to CVCC students that may be facing financial hardships. In addition to the race, there will be a much larger event that includes inflatable fun for children, free food, free candy, games, music and more to celebrate CVCC. Information on all of the College’s programs will be made available and a drawing for a scholarship will take place at the Rally on the River.
