GDOL to Host Recruitment for Correctional Officers in Columbus

The Georgia Department of Labor’s Columbus Career Center will help the Department of Corrections and Rutledge State Prison hold a recruitment on Tuesday, Nov. 15, to fill about 12 correctional officers to work in Columbus.
The recruitment will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the Columbus Career Center located at 700 Veterans Parkway. GDOL staff will be on site to help screen applicants.
All applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or a General Education Diploma and a valid driver’s license. Also, they must be able to pass a drug screening test and criminal background check.
While it is not required, previous experience is preferred.
Salaries will depend on experience.
