St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School to Celebrate Catholic Schools Week 2017

St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School will celebrate its community of faith, knowledge and service during Catholic Schools Week. National Catholic Schools Week is the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. It starts the last Sunday in January and runs all week, which in 2017 is January 29-February 4. Some of the many activities St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School has planned for Catholic Schools Week include:

Sunday, January 29: In Our Parish

To show their school spirit, St. Anne-Pacelli students are encouraged to wear their school uniforms to their places of worship.

Monday, January 30: In Our Community

St. Anne-Pacelli students in grades K-12 will go to Mass together at 9:30 a.m.
Throughout the afternoon, students will be learning about and doing activities with various community helpers.

Tuesday, January 31: In Our Students

Throughout the day, middle school students will participate in Catholic Chaotic Challenge.
In the afternoon, high school students will participate in Spike Ball Extravaganza on Deimel Field!
PK-8th grade students will watch peers perform in a Talent Show in St. Anne Church’s Visitation Hall at 1:30 p.m.

Wednesday, February 1: In Our Nation

PK-12th graders will attend an International Rosary at 9:30 a.m. that celebrates Catholic schools and demonstrates how America is made up of many cultures. The International Rosary will be a student-led, all-school rosary. The 1st and last decades are in English. The 2nd and 4th decades are in Spanish. The 3rd decade features all our other languages that we teach at St. Anne-Pacelli.

Thursday, February 2: In Our Vocations

High school students will play Catholic School Kahoot in their Religion classes.
Lower School students will participate in class service projects that help our school and/or community.

Friday, February 3: In Our Faculty, Staff and Volunteers

There will be a PK-12 Catholic Schools Week-themed pep rally in the gym at 9:30 a.m. During the pep rally, donations of new underwear collected in January will be presented to St. Anne Community Outreach.

Saturday, Feburary 4: In Our Families

St. Anne-Pacelli families are invited to participate in a campus beautification project from 9 a.m. until Noon followed by a hot dog picnic lunch.
