Aflac, the leader in voluntary insurance sales at the worksite in the United States, announced that the company has once again been named to Fortune Magazine's list of the World's Most Admired Companies. This marks the 16th time that the Georgia-based insurance company has been included on the prestigious list.
"Aflac is honored to be among the most admired companies in the world for the 16th time," Aflac CEO Dan Amos said. "This award highlights the consistent quality of our products and services. It demonstrates the value that we provide to both consumers and shareholders and how we have earned and maintained the respect of our industry peers, as well as companies across the globe, for nearly two decades."

To be included on the list, companies are required to score in the top 50 percent in their respective industries. Aflac finished fourth overall in the Insurance, Life and Health category.
Aflac is ranked number 135 on the Fortune 500 and has been placed on Fortune's Best Companies to Work For list for 18 consecutive years.
