Boys & Girls Clubs of the Chattahoochee Valley celebrates National Boys & Girls Clubs Week. During the week of March 27 – 31, the BGCCV is inviting the Chattahoochee Valley to join them for National Boys & Girls Club Week. This special celebration offers the alumni and the general public the opportunity to experience the life changing programs the Boys & Girls Club offers to children and teens in our area.
A part of National Boys & Girls Club week, BGCCV will join more than 4,300 Boys & Girls Clubs across America and on U.S. military installations as they host a weeklong celebration featuring the many ways our Clubs open the door to great futures through outcome driven programs that focus on encouraging youth to make healthy choices, build strong character and succeed academically.
“Day in and day out, our Boys & Girls Club staff and mentors deliver quality experiences that makes a difference in a youth’s life beyond their time at the Club. Research shows that kids who have an optimal experience at our Clubs are also more likely to have positive self-esteem, volunteer, and be engaged in school,” said Rodney Close, President and CEO. “National Boys & Girls Club Week is a special time when we welcome the community to witness the amazing impact Clubs have on the lives of kids and teens.”
Planned activities during National Boys & Girls Club Week at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Chattahoochee Valley include:
Tuesday, March 28 – Come READ a BOOK to our kids anytime between 4pm and 6pm.
