Staff Report From Columbus CEO

Friday, March 3rd, 2017

The American Cancer Society has selected KARON HENDERSON to serve as this year’s honoree of the Crystal Ball, presented by Columbus Regional John B. Amos Cancer Center on Saturday, March 4th at 6:00pm. at the Rivermill Event Centre. The Crystal Ball is a volunteer driven event and is being lead this year by, Event Chair – Jennie Hannay and Event Co-Chair – Dee Dee Anthony with a wonderful group of passionate committee members supporting all aspects of the event.

KARON HENDERSON is a breast cancer survivor sharing her story of hope. Because of a routine mammogram, her cancer was detected early. After two biopsies, Karon was diagnosed with Breast Cancer/DCIS in May 2015. She had a double-mastectomy and breast reconstruction, all of which
took four surgeries.

The American Cancer Society Crystal Ball committee and Board of Directors wishes to recognize and thank Columbus Regional Health John B. Amos Cancer Center as the presenting sponsor, but also all of the generous sponsors who graciously support the Crystal Ball. Without these sponsors the event would not be able to raise much-needed funds in support of the Society’s mission to save lives:
