The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Chattahoochee Valley’s president and chief executive officer, Rodney Close, was named Executive of the Year for Boys & Girls Clubs of the Southeast region by the National Board of the Professional Association. The award was presented at the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Southeast Leadership Conference in Montgomery, Ala. Executive of the Year award is presented to an Executive by the National Board of the Professional Association for their major contributions in their work while enhancing the profession of Boys & Girls Clubs work through dedication, leadership, and vision. In 2015, Close was recognized as Executive of the Year for the state of Georgia.
