St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School Welcomes New High School Baseball Coach

St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School welcomes Columbus, Ga. native Brent Benefield as a 2017-2018 high school baseball coach. Benefield comes to St. Anne-Pacelli after coaching for 5 Star National, an elite travel baseball team based in Warner Robins, Ga.
About Brent Benefield
Thirty-three-year-old Brent Benefield graduated from Hardaway High School in 2002. During his final two seasons at Hardaway, the Hawks were 65-8 (W/L) and made it to the semi-finals of the playoffs both seasons. Benefield was a 1st Team All-Bi-City selection in 2001 and was named the 2002 All-Bi-City Player of the Year. After high school, Benefield attended the University of Georgia (2002-2003), Middle Georgia College (2004), and Columbus State University (2005-2007) on baseball scholarships.
Since 2007, Benefield has been a baseball instructor for young men ages 8-22 and, during the summers, has managed elite travel teams. Throughout his experience with 5 Star National, Benefield has been instrumental in helping numerous athletes sign scholarships to play baseball collegiately as well as professionally.
