IACT Health is proud to partner with Gastrointestinal Diseases, Inc. in building a dedicated Gastroenterology research site attached to GDI’s established office. IACT Health and GDI are opening this new research facility in an effort to provide patients with an easier way to participate in current and upcoming gastrointestinal disease research trials including Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, NASH, and irritable bowel syndrome. Drs. Pravinchandra H. Patel, Ashwin D. Patel, and Shankar Thiruppathi’s patients will have the option to take advantage of cutting edge medicine, break-through modalities and treatment options by combining their care with exciting clinical trial opportunities. Previously, patients of GDI who participated in trials were asked to make separate appointments and visit separate buildings to coordinate with IACT Health. With IACT Health’s clinical coordinators located within GDI’s practice, it enables patients the opportunity to easily enroll and participate to bring important advancements to the treatment and understanding of gastrointestinal diseases.
In announcing the new joint ownership, IACT Health co-founder and CEO Jeffrey Kingsley, D.O. expressed excitement for the partnership and what it will mean to the residents of our region. “I have always been impressed by the exceptional care provided by the physicians at Gastrointestinal Diseases Inc. I’m thrilled to partner with them in providing the cutting edge of healthcare within their practice. Patients are so overburdened with the difficulties of navigating a complicated healthcare system. This patient-centric collaboration puts their needs front and center.” said Dr. Kingsley.
