St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School announces the promotion of Corry Black to Athletic Director, effective June 1, 2018. Black, who is currently St. Anne-Pacelli’s Assistant Athletic Director and Head Vikings Basketball Coach, will succeed St. Anne-Pacelli Athletic Director Buster Connally who after nine years of working for the school has announced his resignation. During his time at St. Anne-Pacelli, Connally has been a high school coach, middle school and high school Literature teacher, and has served as the school’s athletic director since 2016. Connally is leaving St. Anne-Pacelli at the end of the 2017-2018 school year to spend more time with his family.

Black joined the St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School family in October 2016. During his career, Black has served as the assistant basketball coach at Chattahoochee Valley Community College in Phenix City, Ala. (2008-2009), Columbus State University in Columbus, Ga. (2004-2008) and Southern Union State Community College in Wadley, Ala. (2000-2002). In his new role at the helm of the school’s Athletics Department, Black will remain head Vikings Basketball coach.

“We wish Coach Connally all the best and appreciate his efforts to make a positive impact on the student-athletes here,” St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School President and High School Principal Ronie Collins said. “Corry Black is an outstanding coach – on and off the court – and we are excited about what the future holds for our St. Anne-Pacelli student-athletes under his leadership.”

St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School, through Catholic formation and academic excellence, is committed to the spiritual, intellectual, and physical development of the students entrusted to our care.
