IACT Health has opened a dedicated cardiology research site inside the practice of Columbus Cardiology Associates in an effort to provide patients with an easier way to participate in current and upcoming cardiology related research trials including acute coronary syndrome, heart attack, arrhythmias, and chronic heart failure. Alonzo E. Jones, M.D. and Hiren Shah, M.D.’s patients will have the option to take advantage of cutting edge medicine, break-through modalities and treatment options by combining their care with exciting clinical trial opportunities.  Previously, patients of Columbus Cardiology Associates who participated in trials, were asked to make separate appointments and visit separate buildings to coordinate with IACT Health.  With IACT Health clinical coordinators located within CCA’s practice, it enables patients the opportunity to easily enroll and participate in trials that bring important advancements to the treatment and understanding of cardiac related diseases.
